Denise Farmer, LMSW, ACSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker in solo practice, providing psychotherapy for the past 21 years and social work for over 30 years. My professional experience includes work in the areas of domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and as a therapist in a medical setting (primary care, ob/gyn and pediatrics). I have worked extensively with clients who have had traumatic emotional experiences and I am EMDR trained. I also have experience in working with those challenged with chronic pain and health conditions, relationship issues, compassion fatigue, grief/loss, mood and anxiety disorders. I’ve been working in the Jackson Michigan area for the past 34 years.

It takes courage to come in for therapy and commit to the therapeutic process and relationship. I feel honored to walk alongside clients on the path toward healing, balance and increased calm. I strongly believe that you are not your “diagnosis". You are a unique person with strengths, experiences and choices who just might need some guidance toward wellness, peace and satisfying relationships.
